A slight learning curve for the controls, and a bit of patience is all it takes. I hope to beat it-it will be the first MG game I complete since Metal Gear Solid for the PS1...which I really liked a lot. After a name change and 10 years in development, FFXV came out yesterday.
Don't worry too much if you're inclined to skip - the game does a great job of explaining stuff as you go. If you get into the game and feel lost you can also access the tutorial at any time from the pause menu, so skip it at the top and only go to it if you feel that you need it. As for Final Fantasy XV, the long-in-development game is slated to arrive on November 29. The game was originally scheduled to come out in September but was recently delayed.

Final Fantasy 15has a big open world, and it can be overwhelming when you first start. There are side quests galore, story content, several things to do in battle, skills like fishing, and more. Noctis' standard load-out includes a sword, polearm and greatsword, but he can equip a lot else besides - daggers, guns and more.
As well as scanning, keep an eye on the damage numbers - you want them to be a hue of red. If it's white, that's average - but if it's closer to blue then you need to switch weapon. Watch carefully and use the right kind of gear for each fight. When the Stamina bar is almost empty, release circle and tap it again or press in the left stick again. Noctis will flash green and the stamina bar will instantly top up again, right to the top.
Use EXP modifiers wisely to level up fast
Very handy - but you really need the stamina bar turned on to do it reliably, thus this tip. Television generally means the intergrated speakers. I don't see how anyone can factually tell you which sounds best on your setup. It's like asking for someone else's TV configuration. You're browsing the GameFAQs Message Boards as a guest. Attire changes the clothes your character wears, but they also give bonuses to certain stats. Noctis can equip any weapon his friends can, as well as some only he can use. Select the one you want to use, as long as you filled the bar up enough, and your party member will perform that Technique. You can also bring up the menu and switch any of these at any time, even during battle. You cannot switch the one you are currently using while in battle. What this means is that items drop off enemies or are found in dungeons and you have no idea that they're useful for something more than just selling.

First of all, it doesn’t matter what your display is when answering this question the first time FFXV boots up. The selection doesn’t really have anything to do with your screen at all. Instead, this is the game’s roundabout way of asking you about your audio setup.
Ignis has an ability that lets him analyse enemies, or you can use Wait Mode to scan enemies directly yourself. For bosses and the like, you want to make sure you're attacking with the enemy's weakness and if not adjust your equipment in the menu. I just really appreciate how massively different this is from FFXIII, where the game pretty much forced me to run in a straight line for most of it. Plus, it's giving me adequate time to hone my skills in combat, and learn how to blindside correctly. I was putzing around doing a sidequest on foot, totally forgetting that I was using the MP3 player. "One Winged Angel" suddenly started playing, and I went into full panic-mode, and thought shit was going down.
As you battle you gain not only experience, but AP as well. You can use this AP to unlock several bonuses on the Ascension board. Each party member, besides Noctis, has a Technique they can equip. You do this from the gear section just like weapons and accessories. The fights are real-time, meaning you don't take turns to perform actions like in many games in the series.

PC players have had an even longer wait for Final Fantasy 15 than the console players - and they had to wait the better part of a decade as its seemingly rather intense and rocky development played out. The game is sprawling - there's quite a lot to do in the world of Eos.

It took me, like, a full 10 seconds to realize I was safe. It's VERY different from the previous games and I am enjoying it so far. Anyone who played the demo, just a heads up that the final game is MUCH improved, from control to combat to graphics.
Accessories can raise stats, provide extra bonuses to abilities, block certain status effects, and more. Press the Technique button while in combat to bring up your party members' techniques. Phase allows you to swiftly dodge attacks and come back with a counter-attack. It also stops time while you stand still to give you time to come up with a strategy.
This is a green bar on the left of the screen and is required to perform Techniques. You can even craft magic using Elemancy while in battle, more on that later. Locking on to an enemy will perform a Warp-strike when you press the Warp Button. Wait allows you to stop time while you lock on an enemy to scan it. This will bring u p their strengths and weaknesses, so you know how you should attack.
This means that whenever you want to level up, you need to rest somewhere. Resting at campgrounds also allows Ignis to cook something, which raises his cooking skill. You can get bonus damage from hitting an enemy from behind, this is called Blindside.
